Brooklyn Baby!

Mom and I went to New York a couple weeks ago. We had a great time visiting mom's friend Kristin and my new friend Claire!

Memorial Day Weekend

The highlight of the Memorial Day weekend in MN was going to my first Twins game. This first picture is of my Aunt Elana feeding me some mac n cheese before the big game.

Minnesota

I recently enjoyed some time back in MN. I did all sorts of fun stuff, like attending my first garage sale and spending some quality time with my cousin Tallie. I had a blast!

These are pictures from my first birthday party! I had a fun time. I kinda liked my cupcake and I really liked opening presents. Some of mom and dad's friends came over to help celebrate. What a wonderful day!

Wiggleworms!

I love going to my Wiggleworms class! There, I get to sing, dance and play instruments. These pictures are from my first session (I really loved my teacher) and I am now in my second session and it's still going great!

Welcome to our blog!

Maddie and Jay are fast asleep, and instead of going through all the work of getting them to bed again I just decided to let them sleep and write this blog update myself.

Well, it's been a while since I've updated the blog. I guess I've been quite busy trying to maintain order in this house. Life is good, and the kids are both amazing! Maddie is well beyond her years. Some of her vocabulary is unreal and she is quick as a whip. Remembers everything, which makes me have to be very careful what I say. She enjoys all sorts of pretend games. Lately she has been pretending to pack up and fly to Minnesota. She loves wearing my shoes, and basically doing everything I do, especially when it comes to things with Jay. She has her own "babies", which are Jay's stuffed animals. They are all her sons. She is very good about putting her babies down for naps, feeding them, pumping milk and rocking them. She even tells me to be quiet when any of them are sleeping. She likes to steal toys from the real baby in the house to give to her babies, which I am trying to teach her is not nice.

Jay is a wonderful little 6 month old bundle of joy! The kid is the most smiley, giggley baby ever. Even when he wakes up from his naps, he sees me and grins. He likes to be tickled, play peek a boo, blow bubbles and play with toys when his sister lets him. He thinks she is the funniest, best thing ever. He always watches her and is so interested in her. He rolls over and is close to sitting up on his own. He just started eating rice cereal which he seems to enjoy. He just had his 6 month check up and is the height of an average 10 month old. He is a solid little guy, and he doesn't fit into his clothes for very long stretches.

Seeing Maddie and Jay together is so fun. Maddie adores Jay now. She wants to make sure I don't forget him and that he is always coming with us when we leave the house. If he ever fusses she says "I"m comin' Jay" and runs to him. Although I can't remember ever feeling this tired, my days fly by and I have the best time with these two. I'm not sure how Joe and I got such cute kids, but I know how lucky we are to have them.
